Chung Chan (LIDS) and Mythili Vutukuru (CSAIL) are both named recipients of
the Cisco Graduate Fellowship in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science for 2006-2007.
Chung Chan received his MEng degree in May, 2005, with thesis on
interference suppression techniques in cellular networks. He is now in his
second year of PhD program. He is currently working on dynamic decoding and
adaptive resource allocation on wireless networks. His focus is on the
development and application of novel layer-structured codes in dynamic
networked environments, to understand the impacts of these new physical
layer techniques on network performance, including throughput, reliability,
and security.
