Join us for a conversation with Skydio co-founder/CEO Adam Bry SM ’12 about his journey from MIT to leading advances in modern robotics.

Skydio, the largest drone manufacturer in the U.S., has delivered more than 60,000 autonomous drones to 3,800 organizations worldwide. These systems conduct thousands of daily flights in mission-critical—often life-or-death—operations across public safety, critical infrastructure inspection, and national security.

Bry will discuss the technical, entrepreneurial, and personal journey behind Skydio’s rise: from early research at MIT to building a vertically integrated company spanning hardware, software, autonomy, and manufacturing. He will reflect on the challenges of developing robotics solutions for high-stakes environments and serving complex, demanding customers at scale.

Adam Bry is the co-founder and CEO of Skydio, the leading US drone manufacturer and world leader in autonomous flight. He started building things that fly at the age of five, and won two national championships flying radio-controlled airplane aerobatics by the time he was 18. As a grad student in CSAIL at MIT, he helped lead an award-winning research program that pioneered autonomous flight for drones. He was also co-captain of the MIT cycling team (along with his future wife) and led the team to a national championship in 2012. After MIT and before Skydio, Adam co-founded Google’s drone delivery program, Wing. He has co-authored numerous technical papers and patents, and was recognized on MIT’s TR35 list for young innovators.
