David Tse, LIDS alum and Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, received the 2017 Claude E. Shannon Award at the IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT) in Aachen, Germany, held June 25 - 30, 2017.

Luca Carlone, currently a Research Scientist at LIDS, will be joining the MIT department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as an Assistant Professor, with the official appointment starting in January 2018. He will also be part of LIDS in a new capacity, as a Principal Investigator.
