Abstract
The field of systems and control is a vibrant and dynamic research area, with a growing impact across an impressive range of domains — from bioengineering and robotics to manufacturing and telecommunications. Because of this diversity, control-related activities are spread over several departments and labs at MIT. The aim of the Control@MIT event, hosted by LIDS, is to bring together these different MIT communities and provide a forum to share current research, discuss challenges and opportunities in the field, and identify opportunities for collaboration and future research. To facilitate interaction, the event will consist of many faculty giving short overviews of their work and vision, while retaining ample time for conversation.
