Jennifer Tang receives Best Student Paper Award at ISIT 2022

It is our great pleasure to share that LIDS alum Jennifer Tang, PhD ‘22 received the Best Student Paper Award at the 2022 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT). ISIT is the flagship conference dedicated to the advancement of information theory and related areas. Jennifer won for the paper, "Capacity of noisy permutation channels," which was co-authored by her supervisor, LIDS professor Yury Polyanskiy (EECS).

Currently a LIDS postdoc with Professor Ali Jadbabaie, Jennifer received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT in 2022. Her research interests include information theory, defect-tolerant circuits, and learning theory.
