We are excited to share that Professor Patrick Jaillet has received a Ruth and Joel Spira Award for Excellence in Teaching, from the School of Engineering, to acknowledge “the tradition of high-quality engineering education at MIT."

Professor Jaillet has regularly lectured one of the fundamental EE subjects, Probabilistic Systems Analysis (6.041). In addition, he has taught Introduction to Algorithms (6.006), Introduction to Mathematical Programming (6.251/15.081) and Network Science and Models (6.268). Part of his success lies in his ability to supplement mathematical topics with intuition and relevant real life applications.
